What's My Fivefold Ministry Office?

What's My Fivefold Ministry Office?

Why Can't We All Just Get Along? Everyone has a demon opinion. Send a demonized believer into a group of fivefold ministers and watch the fireworks.

The evangelist wants to cast it out. The pastor decides to counsel it out. The prophet loves the person past the demon, while the teacher tries to instruct it out. Meanwhile, the apostle didn't attend the meeting and, upon hearing about it, says, "How much longer must I bear with you? When are you going to get it?"

So whose demon opinion was right? It depends on your office. Each of the fivefold ministries approaches a problem according to their unique grace. Everyone is correct. The problem? Nobody learned to function as a team.

That's what makes you different. Just the fact that you're reading this today tells me you want solutions. We’ve all rolled our eyes at the pastor who let things slide or the prophet who went overboard. Let’s find balance.

Which is Your Fivefold Ministry Character?

I put a lot of study into outlining the character of each of the fivefold ministries in The Fivefold Offices for Today. Here’s a summary:

Read below and answer: "Which Guy Am I?"

  1. The Evangelist Brings Fire
Stop expecting him to calm down. No, sin is unacceptable. And yes... that demon has to go. NOW! The evangelist is the hand of the Holy Spirit in the earth, igniting a passion for salvation and deliverance.

  2. The Prophet Rocks the Boat
Born with eyes to see, he refuses to turn a blind eye. He perceives the truth and is upset because he feels what Jesus feels. Expect discomfort just when you thought everything was going smoothly. The prophet carries the heart of Jesus and is unafraid to challenge the status quo.

  3. The Pastor Gathers the Sheep
He wants to collect sheep, concerned about the church's environment and community. He embraces the gray areas that others might overlook. The pastor is the hand of Jesus to the Church, nurturing and protecting the flock.

  4. The Teacher Wields the Sword
If you don’t want to know the truth, then stop asking! The teacher’s sword is sharp and unwavering. He expresses the mind of Christ, unafraid to engage in debate and challenge perspectives until understanding is reached.

  5. The Apostle Protocols
Protocols establish God’s Kingdoms. The apostle sees the battlefield from the hilltop. While your singular issue might seem significant to you, he’s focused on the larger picture, concerned about the horde approaching. The apostle is mandated to build God’s blueprint for the Kingdom.

Who Are You?

Which of the fivefold did you identify with most? Fantastic! Just one more thing—have grace for the others!

If we’re to build the Kingdom, we must make space for each person to flourish. We can't do the job alone! Each office plays a critical role, and understanding this is vital for effective ministry.

The Importance of Teamwork in the Fivefold Ministry

Recognizing your unique calling is just the beginning. The real challenge lies in embracing the diversity of the fivefold ministry and learning to work together as a cohesive unit. Imagine the impact we could have if every office operated in harmony!

Conclusion: Building a Stronger Kingdom Together

In a world increasingly divided, the fivefold ministry can set an example of unity in diversity. By understanding and respecting one another’s gifts, we can work together to advance the Kingdom of God.

So, let’s commit to building a stronger, more collaborative ministry. With grace and understanding, we can overcome our differences and fulfill the our calling together.
